I am currently hacking my way through the (suddenly challenging!) Catacombs Cellar 1, and have encountered a strange phenomenon:
There is an area south of the initial entrance, beyond the multiple fires with the smell of burning flesh, where several groups of Orog Brute's, Hoodoo's and whatnot all seem to have rented their own private suites. When my party entered these rooms, the Orogs spoke, muttering something along the lines of "Don't attack them...yet." Despite their suspicions, they seemed to have no objection to my rifling through their chests and the contents of the nearby tables.
Just above this area is a locked door, requiring the "greenish copper key" or some similiar device.
Well, through a misundersatanding regarding room rental (I insisted the Orog's should have already checked out)I ended up... *ahem*, well, slaughtering them all. And, to my suprise, one of them had the greenish copper key! This is confusing since there was no dialogue thread started giving me the option to gain this key, but, at the same time, the Orog's wouldn't attack me unless I attacked them. Now, beyond the small misunderstanding about bed-space, I had no cause to attack them, and would not have done so had one of them not uttered a slight about my female Rogue/Sorcerer's ankles...
But to further the confusion... once I opened the greensih copper key door and drank from the well, I discovered that the well... well it seemed to provide some pretty lights and nothing else. And no matter how hard I scrutinize my characters before drinking from this well, I cannot seem to determine the effects it has on them.
So how was I SUPPOSED to get the greenish copper key, and what is that cursed fountain doing to me?
Beyond that, I still have a "fortress key" in my backpack. What does door does this open and where, exactly, is it located? And what is behind it? How does yellow smell?
Help! I'm all armored up with no place to go!
Two Questions... utter confusion....
