Saved Games Dissapearing then Reappearing????

Okay, so I save my game OFTEN and in different slots. About once every ten minutes, in five different slots, just cycling through all of them.

i got about to the Harbinger, where all of my saved games dissapeared. I thought "Okay this sucks".

So I restarted the game and started a new game. I passed the Harbinger, beat Onderon, and went to Nar Shadaa. Now I just opened the game, and all of THOSE slots had dissapeared BUT....

my first ones from the Harbinger were back!
WHAT? Any way to solve this?
