Problems :(

Post by Kieran_Frost »

Second attempt, first went SOOOO wrong, but I was so near the end it really bugged me Image Image Image

Anyhoo I'm a fighter/mage elf. I've just done Nalia's castle but I'm holding out for the Planar Sphere, so I get two forts, hee hee greedy me.
In my previous match I had
Minsc
Jahiera
Jan
Edwin
Aerie (wife)
So I want a new team. I'll keep Jan (best at what he does and Aerie for my wife. But I'd like new people, preferably multi-classed, just like Aerie and Jan. I'm going to keep Jahiera but I'd like maybe Victoria and Anomen. Are they a) multi-classed and b) any good?

well, you have aerie who is a mage/cleric. viconia is a cleric and anomen is fighter dualed to a cleric. there is no real point to have three clerics in your party. if you want to pick between anomen and viconia, you should look at yoru alignment to decide that. oh, and if you have jaheira as well, then you have her cleric abilities as well...overkill on clerics
I would be a serial killer if i didn't have such a strong distaste for manual labor

Anomen is a duel class fighter/cleric. He is not a very good cleric when you get him because of low wisdom, but after a quest his wisdom improves.

Viconia is a drow cleric not multi class, but the best cleric in the game

...personally, I found Anomen to be quite the powerhouse late in my game. His strength and Fighter hit points make him an excellent tank eventually. If you really like multi-classed characters, take Anomen and Haer Dalis - Bards are like mutli-classed characters anyway, and you could always rotate the other NPCs through his slot to do their quests.

Personally, I think you need a fighter, though, and since you've already had Minsc, why not keep Valygar in yr party after you go for the sphere? Especially with your lead character as a mage, he'll provide some interesting dialog.

SO, I'd vote for adding Valygar and Anomen, or maybe Mazzy (hardly anyone tries her out) and Haer Dalis... or Valygar and Viconia if you can keep your REP in check... I just realized I'm the last guy to be giving this advice - I've got 5 different games going concurrently because I can't decide which party I like more... have fun with it, they're all interesting to play once you figure 'em out...
