I have run into a rather frustrating dilemma. Anomen did not avenge his sister's death, which should allow him to become a knight. However, he fails judgment by the Radiant Hearts unless my party does not include Edwin and Viconia. I would really like to continue the romance I just began with Viconia but at the same time becoming a knight gives Anomen a significant stat boost and I think he makes a worthwhile contribution to the team. I have only had Viconia flirt with my main character once. I tried replacing Edwin with Aerie, but to no avail. What should I do?
My main character is a chaotic good thief, and I have been using Edwin, Anomen, Viconia, Keldorn, and Minsc. My reputation is 9.
Anomen fails knighthood unless I boot party members
Anomen doesn't get a significant boost for becoming a knight, 16 instead of 12 wis only allows memorizing 2 level 1 and level 2 spells which are useless considering how many cleric spells you have.
I'd try dismissing Viconia shortly before it's decided if Anomen becomes a knight and when she asks if you really want her let her rejoin.
You can also try to increase your reputation to 10-11 by donating.

All it took was a donation to the church and Aerie in my party instead of Edwin and Anomen was knighted. I didn't realize donations would boost reputation and was unsure of a way to raise my reputation before the two day deadline.
Is there a way to prevent conflict between Viconia and Keldorn? I am under the impression that only paladins can wield Carsomyr, which is the main reason he is on my team.

if you play a vanilla game there is "no" way you could prevent this,
but there are several possible methods to prevent it,
1. a mod which will turn off the Partyconflicts
2. you could also rush the game so you reach TOB very fast, but this is neither very secure nor satisfying.
If you really want to use the Carsomyr
You need a Paladin, or high level thief ( TOB installed )
1. Your PC is a Paladin, or you could use a other Paladin than Keldorn, since there are no other Paladins original you would need to install a mod, Sarileth for instance
2. You need to get a Thief or Bard very high level so he reaches his HLAs and you could pick UAI
HLA = High Level Abilitys
UAI = Use Every Item

Yes, but why would a straight Thief or Bard want to use Carsomyr ?? It's two handed, you can't use the offhand and you don't have GWW to compensate.
Furthermore even though you can use it, you can't backstab with it since it's not an item usable by a thief without UAI.
It's only use is to make your thief more immune to magic during fights against things like (demi)liches or other strong mages. Kundane or Belm offhand are certainly preferable in most situations.

I'm with Jedi on this - Keldorn or a paladin PC are the only characters who would want Carsomyr.
I would suggest that the Undead Hunter subclass of paladin is more fun than many other builds. I had my UH go into ToB and get Ravager upgraded - an Undead Hunter with Carsomyr and/or Ravager can be pretty tasty.
You could always have Keldorn (as Inquis with his dispel and true sight) and the immune to drain UH as a pair of tanks.
I played a me only multiplayer with a party including a beserker-wielding Ravager and it was awesome to behold.
