Help really please help me

Post by Morriquendi »

I installed the game i have all the requirements and at first the game runs nice but after 10 min it starts lagging, slow motion you know, and after sometime it goes normal again and then starts lagging again. I tried changing the visual preformance to the lowest but that does not help. Can anyone help me? Any help will be much appreciated.

Thanks

It could be your sound card...perhaps updating the drivers would help.

I had a similar problem, which was related to the sound, but the problem went away when I loaded the Unnoficial Patches mentioned on this forum.

Thanks, but it didn't help. I installed the patch and it didn't work. But I still haven't tried the sound adjustment. How do you update your drivers( I don't know much about drivers so it wouldn't hurt to ask)

Have you set the virtual memory to at least 1.5 GB, even if you have more physical memory? Have you tried the Win98 compability mode?

What version of Windows are you running? He's assuming it's not Win98, which is what Bloodlines was written for. So if you're using Win2000, XP, or Vista, you may have to adjust for that.

If you're using XP, then right-click the launch button, select Properties, then the Compatibility tab. Choose Win98 at the top, and accept.

Long shot here, but last time my game was lagging that bad, it turned out that I hadn't defragmented my hard drive (which was almost full as well) for quite some time; you might have a similar problem. After that it played quite smoothly (it never runs too smooth on my system anyway, but nowhere near that ridiculous lag I was experiencing before I defragged). Hope this helps.
