swash/fighter help

Post by Vhailin »

I have decided to play a Swashbuckler/fighter dual and I have a few questions that I can't find answers to in the manual.
1) How often to rogues get proficiencies?
2) At what levels will he get the +1's that a swashbuckler is supposed to get? I just hit level 11, where I thought the effects would happen, but nothing; and I don't think anything happened at level 10 either. Will the next bonus be at level 15?
3) I guess what I'm trying to figure out is when to dual to a fighter. I'd rather not play the majority of the game without my thief skills but I do want to maximize the benefits.
Thanks.

1) every fourth level
2) every 5th level (so yes, you did get the bonus at 10th)
3) either after 10th, or whenever you feel your are finished with your thief skills. If you are using a (near) full party at least.

Thanks, I guess I just missed the bonuses at level 10. So I should get one more proficiency at level 13? So if there is no bonuses until then I should probably dual now.
I was planning to just have Aerie and keep Yoshimo until I regain my thief abilities... and maybe have Imoen later if I need more magic.

Well, you'll get a proficiency at level 12, but you'll get more than enough proficiencies from your fighter levels. I'd say dual now.
