The Death Delivering Bounty Hunter

Post by FireStormNZ »

Hello everyone,

I have jumped into BG II again with the intention of creating an evil Bounty Hunter Elf, basically playing the angle of someone who is very tactically astutue (hence strategic use of traps) but not amazing in hand to hand combat (I have given him one star in the long sword and another in single handed weapon only to try and reflect that. Oh and i am also going to bring Vicconia (sp?) into the party to try and have a romance with her - if this is not going to work please advise why.

Anyway the key point of this thread is what i am wondering is does his number of traps go up with his level? (I dont mean the high end traps you pick up in TOB with high level characters). Because it seems a bit silly to try and role play with a character like this if he will only ever have 4 traps until he gets to a very high level....

Hope to get some comments soon as i am going to do some playing right now hahaha.

Traps:
The number of traps per day does go up at certain class levels... I am not sure what they are, but they do; although not at every level. Every other 3 perhaps.

Romance:
I read somewhere that...
Spoiler
Viconia will not romance with Elves. A Human or a Half-Elf perhaps.
.. so, it might not work.

The amount of normal and special snares does go up with levels. You should end up with eight normal and eight special snares by the time you hit level forty, which means that you gain an additional snare and an additional special snare every five levels. Also, your snares (both types) improve with levels and the special one becomes a highly tactical tool in its last form.

I just started a bounty hunter too. I'm going through the game as a human bounty hunter with proficiencies in short sword. Bounty hunters rock so far. It's just me and minsc. Once you get to lvl 11 you take down humanoid opponents like its nothing because of hold person. As soon as i get the boots of speed im gonna drop minsc and solo the game.

Oh yeah, does anyone happen to know how you make a strategy guide here at GameBanshee. When i finish the game with a bounty hunter i want to make a guide about it. Someone please let me know about this.....?

As far as I remember Viconia does not pursue romances with Elves.

A half-elf will do, but not a pure blood.

Goodluck
Its not the best Romance in my opinion. Not what I had expected.
