1.) When casting a spell as a Ranger/Cleric multiclass or a Ranger/Cleric dual class, the caster level is treated as that of a ranger, that of a cleric or the sum of both?
2.) I believe I read somewhere that a spell's effects (one that depends on the level of the caster) maxes out at level twenty. Can anyone confirm this?

Caster Levels
“The world breaks every one and afterward many are strong at the broken places. But those that will not break it kills. It kills the very good and the very gentle and the very brave impartially.”
1. cant really say, maybe try out with aid so you could "see" it
make one dualclassed, and a singleclassed, dualclassed you give both the same level as cleric and cast your aid and you will see, if the spell from the dual will wear of faster or slower
2. yes there are some mods who overwrite this, because i think its crap -.-
ps. i know you dont use mods ^^

All spells that have effects that are dependent upon the caster level max out at twenty, or just some spells?
The duration seems to be the same, but I am also wondering about Iron Skins, would both combinations get ten skins because the spell maxes out at twenty or would one get more than the other? Does stoneskin provide ten skins at its maximum power?

1 - I know that when using a fighter/mage only the mage class counts to spell levels, I've a hard time believing a ranger/cleric would be any different.Crenshinibon wrote:1.) Well see, if the ranger was a fighter type class, without casting ability, then I'd think the same. The ranger however CAN cast spells so I am unsure whether the ranger level applies to the druid spells and the cleric applies to the cleric spells or if the caster level is the sum of the two or if the cleric level is considered for the purpose of determining the caster level.
