I have just finished SoA and wanted to start playing ToB, but it doesn't work. When I put the ToB disk in it comes up with the screen that says you have the wrong disk in, but it says "No disk in drive. Please insert Expansion disk." Or something to that nature. I have tried uninstalling ToB and installing it again but it didn't work.

I have had ToB installed since about Ch. 5 with no problems.
I am using Windows Vista.

Does anyone have any suggestions as to what I should try?

It's probably a Vista problem more likely than anything.

However I might suggest cleaning your CD, cleaning your CD drive, using a virtual CD program (to simulate a CD in your drive), or exiting Baldur's Gate then inserting/reinserting the TOB CD and letting your computer autorun the CD.

i wouldnt blame vista yet, i use vista and havnt had any issues.. so far. and you dont need to put in the ToB disc to play the expansion...... if you did a full install, just pop in SoA disc 2. If Tob was installed properly, then when you end SoA it should automatically put you into ToB, and IIRC, i didnt have to change the disc, been about a month and a half since i played a ToB game

note: before i posted this, i ran a quick test and brought up a game in ToB with the SoA disc... and brought up a game with the ToB dic, both ran fine for me.... in case anyone wondered :)

Just confirming what sparky_kat is saying. If it really doesn't work I'd sooner reinstall your game - full of course, patch it properly and then reload your last SoA savegame, beat the game and get send to ToB
