UT2004 with Vista: Online

Heya everyone, I'm trying to play with my copy of UT2004 with vista over my LAN network, but it keeps giving me various errors. My friend gave me a patch (which his XP machine needs to get online) but it doesn't work with mine.

Any help would be great!
