Need help!

Post by lupononcrepi »

A friend and I wish to play a multi-player game, but every time I attempt to connect to him, my screen goes black and the game freezes. I'm running Vista (Home Premium, if it matters). Any help at all would be much appreciated.

Do you have the same game version as he does? As in, is your game patched equally to his (normally this should be automatic for multiplayer but for older games it might not be). If you do have equal versions, it might be Vista with it's security issues of you trying to connect to a third party server that it doesn't know and automatically hates.
