Need help with Cheats

I've recantly purched KORTOR 1 for the PC (had it for several days) and have edited the INI file with EnableCheats=1.

And yet when I use verious sites (IGN Games FAQ ect) they all say the button to bring down the consle is ~ but that has NEVER worked with me.

Alternative sites have said ' or ¬ buttons, but none of them work either.

Any ideas?

Idea #1 : Play without cheats your first time through. The game really isn't difficult, except for a small number of key battles, and there's plenty of xp and items.

Idea #2 : Download KSE (StarWarsKnights.com - Knights of the Old Republic - Kotor TSL - The Sith Lords) and use it to edit your save game directly, rather than messing around with cheat codes.

Because once they've purchased the game, it's their choice. It's also their thread, and their question. You want to argue the validity of cheats, start a thread for it. This isn't the place.
