I found an axe in the brickmaker's village, it has no information and I can't wield it, but I can equip it. What the Snarf!?
On another note: is it a viable strategy to put no points in steel sword and just use other steel weapons?

Basically, you can wield and fight with weapons other than the main steel & silver swords, but you can you any of the Witcher styles (strong, fast, group) or special attacks (which you get later through skill upgrades, eg. incineration) with them.
As a result, no, it is not a viable strategy. It is allowable, if you really want to play the game in a self-enforced "hard mode", but the game (and the game world) is designed around you being different from everyone else, not the same.

Nope, not really. Torches are sometimes useful, but I only picked up extra weapons to sell them.mberry wrote:So are axes, daggers and flails of any practical use?
