Second tier athletics trainers
Second tier athletics trainers
I have reached level 40, and since then 41, in athletics. I got one level training before reaching 40 from Uuras the sheperd fine. I have located Honditar and Hauls-Rope-Faster but neither displays the training icon when I speak with them. I have maxed both their dispositions and haven't gotten any other training before attempting to train with each of them. I need their help to level up the way I want to without spending hours swimming in circles. Someone please help I am very frustrated!
I just checked the AI for those two, and Honditar should offer his services after 10am if he's in the vicinity of the Great Oak.
Hauls-Rope-faster on the other hand isn't scheduled to offer his services at all, even though he's supposed to be a trainer!
This could be a typical Oblivion AI bug, the game's riddled with them unfortunately, Radiant AI sucks big time. I've been having problems getting thieves guild fences to trade, as have others, all I can suggest is perseverance.
If you're playing on a PC this can be overcome if you're prepared to use the editor. If on another platform just keep trying with Honditar, who's also set to offer his services when he's at home, but that could present other problems.

Great Oak
I was trying Honditar at home which was involved but that's where the walk through said to find him. I'll try him mid-morning at the "Great Oak" which I am assuming is a tavern in Chorral. Let me know where it is if I am off and thanks for the assist and sympathy. I'll let you know how it goes.

I think the Great Oak is the big tree maybe by the mage's guild. People are always talking by it.
Right Speech has four aspects: 1. Not lying, but speaking the truth, 2. Avoiding rude and coarse words, but using gentle speech beneficial to the listener, 3. Not slandering, but promoting friendliness and unity, 4. Avoiding frivolous speech, but saying only what is appropriate and beneficial.
Thanks
Thanks. I tried the Oak and Crozier. Then I tried heading off North West to see what the landmark was thinking that would be it. I'll try by the Mages Guild. Again, I appreciate the guidance. I am worked up but determined to get the athletics training I want. Once I find it life will be easier until I hit seventy.
