screen and video capture

I need a program to capture my DL video and and screen shots and doing the paint paste save after every shot is getting old. so if you have any info please let me know.

this sucks

i have been searching the internet for free downloadable screen capture programs and none work. they seem to work only when not in dl. i am running the collectors edition (not sure it it matters). if someone has a screen capture program they got for free that works (not just word of mouth but really using it) please let me know as i would like to get a lot of screen shots but cant do but 1 at a time.

Use Fraps: FRAPS show fps, record video game movies, screen capture software - it saves the screens as huge BMP files but you can always use Paint and turn them into JPGs or whatever you like. Fraps also lets you capture videos of up to 30 seconds length. And yes, I'm using it in Dungeon Lords and it works. It also doesn't have the problem that the screenshots become too dark (which happens if you just use print screen, then use CTRL-V in Paint).

thanks for the info, i'll have to try that. maybe this one will work and if my comp doesnt lag too much to play i might try to post some dl videos on youtube. i'll post later if it works

it works

i have installed the fraps system and must say i love it so far. the pics come out nice and clear and they dont darken. i have not tried the video caputure yet as i dont think my p4 2.8ghz will hande that much workload and still be liveable..
