How about a Fantastic Four?

Post by Klorox »

I think this is the most fun I've had in a while:

Elf Sorcerer protagonist
Jaheira
Anomen
Jan

The idea is to have everybody be a spellcaster of some sort.

Jan is kinda weak as a spellcaster, but he's the best thief I can get. And he's funny. :)

Anomen and Jaheira make pretty good tanks, and with all 4 I have access to every spell in the game. I think in the later parts of the game, Anomen and Jaheira will just be there to hold off the hordes while the protagonist blasts everything in sight. Jan's thieving skills never go out of style. ;)

i've tried four characters before, it's kind of a power-power-too much power party once you get to start leveling up (and you do this very quickly).

I did parties like:

barbarian
Imoen
Minsc
Jaheira
___

sorceror
Imoen
Edwin
Korgan

___

Exactly the same but instead of Korgan i placed Viconia, and Eventually (this one) the party became a five men party, with Sarevock - I just couldn't resist ^^

Cheers!!!

Inquisitor
Ran/Cler
Thi/Mag
Sorceress

Now this is what you'd call a powergaming party. :]

haha, sure but, i meant parties with npcs and "singleplayer" mode :p

There is one party i tried with chars created by me:

Sorcerer
Cleric
Fighter/druid
Imoen....

I just can't let immy go...i kind of love her :p

PD: i always thought abut something more than a plain cleric, but...i just didn't decide. I guess i'll try a fantastic four, but with some dual-classing.... that'd be something new to my game play, since i NEVER dualed.

Cheers!!!

Me: Barbarian
Korgan
Haer'dalis
Viconia

Not a really fun RP party, since most of them agree most of the time, but still a very powerful combination. This is the party I won the game with for the first time.

Haer takes care of the debuffing, and the two dual wielding barbarians make mush out of everything. At the end, Viconia was only there for decoration. Fights were over too quickly for her to be very useful.

And this one:
Me: Blade
Imoen
Jaheira
Aerie

This one was a little bit more of a challenge, especially at the start, but by the end game, like so many parties, it was nearly unstoppable. It also taught me that Jaheira makes a great tank. Also, bards are pretty good at everything, but there are always classes that do it better. But they definitely don't get hit often.

I played for a while with the elven 4:

cleric-ranger (or maybe pure cleric?)
Kivan
Coran
Xan

but I grow bored with 4 characters only very soon.
