summoning instability

Post by terran698 »

has any1 other than me had their game crash when you have multiple divine interventions and deathlords both summoned in the tomb of souls. In 2 or 3 different rooms my game crashed/locked up and i had to restart from the last save. i have experienced this with deathlord summons only fighting big bad mog and the same thing happened. is there a deathlord problem or did i just get a bad copy of the game (i play 1.5 ce).

I had this problem with Deathlords, too. I haven't summoned Divine Interventions yet, but I can definitely say the Deathlords are a certain lock-up if you summon too many. However, I don't know how many it takes.

The deathlord and all other ninja-types have an AI flaw in that if they hit an enemy or get pushed back against something, they sometimes try to do some weird stuff which causes the game to lock up, likely a division by 0 or something like that. Too bad, because without that bug, the deathlord might be a cool summon.

how many does it take

well to answer a question i had 2 deathlord while running across the bottom of the vale of ruin (trying to get to wizard boss) with no enemies around as i had done killed them. had a party of like 5 in the tomb of souls and locked up 1 of the 2 time it locked up there with them summoned, and once fighting big bad mog and once at the bottom left corner of the forest between arindale and the arindale tree house section. i would love them if they would stop locking my game up. i dislike the divine interventions because they suck (try to use magic too much and melee too slow) in my personal opinion.

Well, you could always try Summon Evil instead. It summons a big Diablo demon who doesn't freeze the game and who can stand a lot of punishment. He will also use his melee attack fairly often.

summon evil

yes i have tried the summon evil on other character. i used it against a fire drake and all it did was breathe fire and did no dmg to fire drake and eventually died and i havent used them much since. i like the deathlord summons because nothing is immune to their main attack (melee) or second attack (nether blast) but the ghosts are immune to their third attack (regular shuriken).
