Post by Perkyguy »

do you need to have 200 base points in unarmed or you can have 200 with items and still qualify for slayer? Or any other perks that have certain skill point requirement for that matter?

From experience - Items will get you there no problem, not only in skills but in attributes as well - tried the same thing with the Sniper perk, worked fine.

I have original manual at home. It is written here that you need one-handed and two-handed skill at least at 100 points if you want to have slyer perk, but i rly dont know if it is true. It is written here that sniper perk can be reached at level 30, i got it at lvl 34 :-O . Btw what other skills do you have with unarmed?

I don't know what kind of a manual you have but those are not requirements for those perks. However it makes little difference. The developers changed the perks, so the manual is inaccurate - You can find the finalised perks and the notes on changes in the Readme.txt. This is what the perks are now:

Slayer:
Requirements: 8 Agility, 8 Strength, 200 Unarmed, Level 33+

Sniper:
Requirements: 8 Agility, 8 Perception, 200 Ranged, Level 33+

Other Perks that involve the Unarmed Skill:

Pugilist:
Requirements: 25 Unarmed, Level 5+

Bonus HTH Damage: The damage it gives has been changed from 2 to 1
Requirements: 6 Agility, 6 Strength, 50 Unarmed, Level 5+
Ranks: 3 (You can select this perk 3 times for cumulative/stacking effects)
I'll fight to the end, I will not bend
Through pain and torture, I shall not falter
With Dragon n' Sword, I'll burn every horde
Evil will fail and Justice prevail...

Given the game's heavy focus on combat, I'd say having 200 unarmed without items wouldn't be a waste at all.

I agree. I think that you should have at least 200 base-points in the skills that you're focusing in. It really goes a long way.
