Guardians: STR build or DEX build?

Which do you find is a more effective build for a Guardian? Boosting his STR (therefore damage) or DEX (defense and a few skills)?

Or do you mix and match, leveling both up along the way?

I usually go for strength when I am using critical strike, since critical strike increases damage based on a percentage and a higher strength increases your chance to stun. I then go for dex when using power attack, since power attack just adds a raw damage boost. I wouldn't level both up, because then you will end up with a not so high attack modifier. Focus on one or the other, I say.

it depends but for me mostly i go for STR damage and HP
