Hey All
Just finished NWN2 and started Oblivion and am have a little trouble "getting around". I have been following the arrow on the compass and using the map to the next marked red arrow, stumbling around the tower all weekend. Now by following the arrow I am back outside and at the war gate that needs to be opened from somewhere else. THis whole weekend I have the feeling of being lost in this game and following the compass has me going incorrectly. Is this only because of being new to the game and how to play it or have I missed something or maybe this game just isnt for me...dunno. Not sure what my question here is....but anyways if anyone want to respond TIA.

Ah. Inside an Oblivion Gate, yeah? Is it the first one, at Kvatch? Not that it makes much difference, but Kvatch gate is the first of the Main Quest and you should get a hint from the Kvatch soldier who comes running to you after you and he have fought off the first few scamps or stunted scamps. If he survives, and you talk to him, he tells you of a companion trapped in a tower.
Go straight into your Quests sheet, and select that one as the operative quest. The red arrow then points at his location... you get to know the layout of the Oblivion towers, there in Kvatch gate.
Apart from no soldier, the towers in the other other gates operate in much the same way. In some, you HAVE to open war gates in order to get to the tower with the Sigil stone. In Kvatch Gate you don't, it's optional. Just follow the paths until you get to the Tower and go in, Keep going upwards until you find a door leading outside. Exit, cross the bridge, find the trapped prisoner, get the sigil key from the Dremora, go back to the main tower, keep going upwards until you find the door to the Sigil door, carry on up, grab the sigil, stand still and wait to be taken back to Kvatch.
