If you are a member of a team, spend time with not just the one or two people you most closely work with, but find others that share common interests both inside and away from work. Whether it's music, sports, gaming, movies or any number of other things, finding the common threads that bind you together is a great way to not only do some fun and exciting things, but it also brings you a little closer to the people you're working with. While this may not be for everyone, it is one of those things that seem to happen when you work in a small company because you see the same 20 to 30 people every day. If your team has two, three or four times that number of people, it takes a little effort to expand your circle of friends, but it is well worth the effort.
