Another nifty feature of Guild Wars is the map, once you discover a town, you are able to open your map and instantly travel to any of these points. When you receive a quest, you are able to open your map and there will be a bright green star showing you where you need to go to complete the quest, so in essence, if you have uncovered a town close to this goal, you are able to travel right near it. You also have a handy minimap that points you in the direction of the quest goal when in the right area. This definitely makes things so much simpler then some npc telling you which direction to go.

While Guild Wars does provide an extremely entertaining experience and allows you to play an online RPG for free, its lack of a free-to-explore environment and repetitive gameplay seriously hinders what could have been a great game. If you don't want to pay to play a true MMORPG, you can't really go wrong with Guild Wars. With free online play and a large community, there's tons of fun to be had. But be warned - it may not be the experience you're looking for.

It's amazing to see what NCSoft has accomplished in Guild Wars without charging subscription. Worlds stream quickly and the game is constantly downloading packets discreetly. The anti-scam staff has been efficient at breaking up different exploits and bot users in the early goings while the game has been patched numerous times with added merchants, items, and skills. With big updates on the way and an expansion pack hinted at by different staff at NCSoft, the future of this already solid game looks fantastic.
