If you like this series, you will love this game. If you never heard of the series but like RPGs, you will love this game. If Morrowind defines the non-linear RPG genre, Oblivion adds clarity to that definition. As for my original question, is this game worth the $60-$70 price tag? Definitely, this game will be a must have for any Xbox 360 owner and I am sure that like Morrowind before it, this game will achieve (Game of the Year) status. It already has my vote.
And the second is at DailyGame with an overall score of 9.3/10:
What's most surprising to me about the open-endedness of it all is that with souring budgets and increasing development times, single-player games are becoming more and more linear. You get placed on rails and are given a six to nine-hour ride. Oblivion stands in stark contrast to that trend, and with so much to do and discover, it emphasizes just relaxing and taking your time. Where most games seem to be trying to increase the amount of adrenaline in your system, Oblivion goes for the opposite.
