There have been a lot of truly wonderful games released across all platforms over the last few months, and it's easy to forget some of the titles that came along. But this is one of those games that you really should not skip. You'd have to be insanely picky or just hate enjoying yourself to not find some fun here, and with the main quest coming in at about 20 hours, with over 100 hours of side quests, there's no shortage of content on this disk. If you haven't already, be sure to get yourself some exposure to the radioactive world of Fallout 3. Radiation sickness never felt so damn good!
The second is at Game Over Online with a score of 90%:
In Fallout 3 Bethesda has made a very good thing, though it is somewhat hampered by the lack of variable scenery and a VATS that plays less than perfectly. From the opening strains of I Don't Want to Set the World on Fire, the chilling atmosphere is pervasive. Between the main quest line and the heaps of side quests you can pick up, I'm not even sure how long this game is. I'm closing in on 30 hours, and judging from the volume of the map space that I've explored I'm not even close to done. It's a game that I'm certain to be playing for a long, long time.
And the third is at LGR Nexus with a score of 4.8/5:
Frankly, Fallout 3 is one of the best games of 2008 (In fact it came in second for game of the year). Not only did it live up to the hype, but it went above and beyond. If you enjoyed Oblivion or just love an open ended amazing FPS RPG, do yourself a favor and pick up Fallout 3 for any system. Whether it is controller or keyboard, Fallout 3 is absolutely amazing.
