ZeniMax Online teased Thieves Guild content for The Elder Scrolls Online even before the MMO's release, so I expect fans of the title and franchise to be at least curious about the teaser they have just released for the Thieves Guild DLC they're planning to release in the future (the trailer only includes a "Coming Soon" at the end, which is not exactly specific). The trailer includes some dastardly thieving action and what looks like old-school adventuring, hinting at a questline split between actual thieving and the exploration classic D&D-inspired labyrinthine dungeons:
The announcement post on the game's official website sheds significantly more light on what the DLC will include. The DLC proper will bring a new zone, Abah's Landing, and a new adventure to the table. The adventure will pit the local Thieves Guild against the mercenary organization known as the Iron Wheel, and the player, as the new local guild recruit, will have a chance to restore the organization's reputation after a horribly failed heist.
The DLC also includes a new 12-player trial, new "criminal activities", and a new passive skill line among other things. Meanwhile, the patch that will be released for all players will include a new 64-bit client for Windows and Mac, improved grouping tools, a plethora of balance changes, access to content from other alliances and more:
