A post on Beamdog's official blog offers a roundup of everything the team's been focusing on in July. We get an update on the Enhanced Editions for iOS, a reassurance that new patches for all the Enhanced Editions are currently in the works, a call for job applications from DevOps Engineers and Web Developers, and more, all within the span of four short paragraphs. Have a look:
Our QA team is hard at work testing the Baldur’s Gate: Enhanced Edition 2.4 iOS update. So far things are looking good! With luck the BG:EE patch will be released shortly with an update for BGII:EE on iOS to follow soon after. Bringing 64 bit support and all the updates up to 2.3 to iOS has taken more time than expected, but we’re excited to see these features finally reach our fans on iPad and iPhone. We’ll post patch notes here on the Beamblog with each release.
It’s been mentioned on our forums a few times that Beamdog has a newfound love for Redmine (our bug and feature tracking system) and closing bug reports. Planning has started on the next round of patches for the Enhanced Edition games on all platforms. There are exciting times ahead for all the EEs, especially Icewind Dale: Enhanced Edition.
If you’ve been following us on Twitter and Facebook, you may have seen a few photos from our Tech Life booth at Klondike Days. It was fantastic meeting local Beamdog fans, sharing news of the Enhanced Editions to players of the original games, and introducing new gamers to isometric RPGs. One lucky survey entrant even won a Siege of Dragonspear Collector's Edition! We’re looking forward to seeing more fans at Edmonton Expo this September!
