The combat system is the only bright point. If you run and gun, you die often, which makes sense given how much of the game is played in enemy territory. So you need to carefully plan your moves and use your character's skills wisely. Combat problems are few and that's largely what keeps you playing through. I did it twice: once where I '˜won' and stopped World War III, and the other where I tried killing everything and everyone, pretty much ending the world in the course of events. Your ability to navigate missions without tipping the balance of power often results in getting more allies on your team, and leads to more missions to explore. When battle is inevitable, your tactics are deservedly rewarded.

This is the tale of amazing potential gone to waste. It is the tale of sloppiness destroying what could have been a classic. It is a tragedy with few parallels. Sure, the concept is there, and it manages to sine through the grime settled on the surface of this gem. The actuality, however, is that messy programming and poor presentation will make sure this game reaches few. There is strategy and action to be found, but it takes a great deal of searching, and more patience than a Buddhist monk.
