Hammer & Sickle Review

All the pedigree and ideas are here to make Hammer & Sickle a veritable feast of turn-based feast action. Unfortunately they're all lost in a flawed and poorly executed example of cashing in on past glory. With the quite ridiculous difficulty level thrown on top of an unforgiving decision making process, Hammer & Sickle is doomed to stay forever in the bargain bin, and you'd be hard pushed to justify buying it even then. A turn-based version of Commandos with the role-playing elements hinted at here would have made quite a phenomenal game. Instead it's a deeply flawed, confusing and ultimately boring experience which will frustrate and dishearten you in equal amounts.
