In the end, Auto Assault manages to rise above the standard MMO experience while still falling prey to failings that often plague such games at launch. The game's basic gameplay systems are sound, combat and crafting are a whole lot of fun, and between the two varieties of PvP and the 80 levels of PvE questing, there's a lot for the MMO gamer looking for a change of pace to sink his teeth into. The problem is that NetDevil really needs to improve on the social aspects of the game; as it stands now, it's more of a "massively single-player game" than anything else.
