A set of ten separate updates have been posted to the Wave of Darkness Kickstarter campaign since the last time we visited the crowd-funding landing page for the Legends of Dawn sequel, the entirety of which discuss the RPG's level cap, magic items, complex puzzles, chest unlock mechanics, spell crafting, inventory improvements, and more. A few samples as the game moves closer to its $20,000 funding goal:
The story begins long time ago, when the danian's inhabited most of the world of Narr. Those mystical and magic-power folks had a habit to store valuable relics to family tombs, and those relics were a powerful magical items.
It was known that the owner of the any weapons or armors enchanted with that kind of powerful relic becomes a dangerous adversary. Even ring can be enchanted. But, danians being danians, they of course had to complicate everything to hell and back. Even though the explorers say that those relics can be found in ordinary chests, at the remote and dangerous places filled with powerful and notorious monsters, it is not uncommon to find a forgotten tomb which can be opened only if you solve the puzzle written on it. Old Danians always made new, difficult and random puzzles wishing all the worst to the wandering traveler who wanted to loot their tombs.

Chests, boxes, crates and other objects that hold items that are locked can be unlocked using two methods.
The first method is using the Runes. So in order to unlock the locked object, you will have to use special Runes. These Runes are found in many places but cannot be bought. Using Runes you will be able to unlock chests (and other locked objects) and loot them. There are three sets of unlocking Runes, one set for each god. Locked chests usually have more items than regular itemholders, so it's a good idea not to throw Runes away.
The second method is using the keys. In order to see which key unlocks certain chest, it is shown in the middle unlocking field. When we drag and drop the key from the inventory to the unlocking field, the chest is unlocked. The key can't be reused anymore.

We have made some slight improvements to player movement. As you already know, there are two ways to move player around - using keyboard or by clicking on the place where we wish our player to move. We have added third type of movement now.
Keyboard movement works the same way as before, just press the keys and move your player around. Mouse movement is slightly changed. If you click and release mouse button, your player will walk toward the place you clicked on.
However, if you click and hold mouse button, your player will walk toward the mouse cursor. Delay between click'n'walk and hold'n'walk is 450 ms. That means if you hold the mouse for longer than 0.45 sec, your player will start following the mouse cursor.
