Overview

Reward: 2000xp, 20000g, Magic Crystal x5

This quest takes place in the Grand Canal, after getting your sub. It's a simple survey quest, then back for reward.


1 - Grand Canal Entrance

When first getting into the sub, head the only way you can go and take your first left. No, not that dock - pass it up and take an actual left around that section. Then as soon as you round the corner there will be a landing on your right side with a building called "Mendel's Laboratory. Speak with Gard Mendel and accept his quest.

Two of the people you'll need to interview are in the Canal itself and one is up on Tekron. Ask each about the soap and then report back to Gard Mendel when finished. The first is nearby, named Lan Mandrake, just a short trip around the corner from you via sub. He's got another quest for you as well. The next NPC is back near Ballas where you got the sub, named Inventor Enigma. Finally, head back up to Tekron and go to the "Quart of Beer" Tavern located just south of the Grand Canal entrance. When all three are complete, head back and collect your reward!
