Summing it up, Guild Wars Nightfall once again proves the viability of Arena.net's and NCsoft's (no monthly fee) strategy coupled with the constant release of new chapters for the game. Content wise, Guild Wars Nightfall is an excellent purchase for the Guild Wars community, but also for those who want to see why Guild Wars is so popular with MMORPG players who prefer competitive PvP gameplay above all else.
The second is at Plain Games with an overall score of 4.5/5:
For gamers who don't feel like paying for World of Warcraft, Lineage II or Final Fantasy XI, Guild Wars might be the perfect massively multiplayer title. Player sprites (characters) look beautiful and there are plenty of ways to customize and differentiate them from those of other players. Armor can be dyed a myriad of colors. Online fansites such as, Guild Wars Guru and Guildwiki, are devoted to the hidden mysteries of armor dying and other Guild Wars nuances. The player community is huge and helpful and with no monthly fee, a leave of absence is not as devastating on the pocketbook. Nightfall is an epic game whose storyline eclipses the other two chapters by far, though the original Prophecies campaign does come close.
And the third is at GameZone with an overall score of 8.6/10:
Of course, the big draw is that there is no monthly subscription fee, but more than that, Guild Wars continues to expand the story of this land and with Nightfall, the game takes on a decidedly different flavor, but still manages to convey that feeling of encroachment of evil. The game looks good, and still plays well. The game does not substantially send the franchise forward with innovations, but rather adds to what is already there. It is a great title for fans of the Guild Wars games, though, in that it adds to the lore and characters.
