Asheron's Call, The Lord of the Rings Online, and Dungeons & Dragons Online developer Turbine has announced development of Infinite Crisis, a new DC Comics-based, free-to-play title that combines strategic arena-style combat with "streamlined role-playing". If not for the studio's pedigree, I'm not sure I'd be too keen about the RPG elements, but I suspect they'll do just fine in that regard while chasing after the Defense of the Ancients fanbase.
