Hollywood Chicago, 4.0/5.
(Dungeon Siege III) has obvious flaws to RPG fans or otherwise but it's playable and enjoyable enough that you're likely to keep coming back to Ehb. And it's the rare RPG that gets more interesting and more enjoyable as it goes along (most get weighed down by the weight of repetition). The story could be stronger and the visuals needed more love and care, but that doesn't matter when you pick up your sword and try to save your homeland. I have to go. There are giant spiders to kill.
Capsule Computers, 7.5/10.
Dungeon Siege III is a rather enjoyable game for the most part. Those coming to have a true dungeon crawling experience again will not find themselves left wanting after they are done with the title. An average playthrough of the game will run around nine hours until completion. Though there are a decent number of sidequests to help distract from the main storyline as well as the amount of replayability that the title offers to extend total playtime. Unfortunately the stunted multiplayer aspect means you will often be better off only playing with trusted friends or locally. Dungeon Siege III provides an adequate experience but never goes above and beyond to really set itself apart and live up to its namesake.
Games Media Pro, 4/5.
Great visuals combine with an engrossing storyline that draws players deep into the plight endured by the remnants of this once glorious legion of honourable men. A sterling job by the developers means that Dungeon Siege III gets a richly deserved 4 Stars.
And finally, Co-Optimus, awards a 3/5 to the co-op and a 4/5 as a general score.
Despite my quarrels with the game's co-op mode, Dungeon Siege 3 is an excellent Action/RPG. It's a departure from previous games in the series, but it's not afraid to admit that - fans of the previous two games will enjoy the several donkey jokes located throughout the game. As long as you understand the co-op features of Dungeon Siege 3 before buying it, and are ok with that, you'll get plenty of enjoyment out of it.
