PvP is a huge part of WAR, letting the players actually participate in and impact the great conflict of Order and Chaos as the six playable races clash. PvP areas are clearly marked and present in every map, letting the PvE-only players look across a bridge or into a fortress and see the bloody fun their PvP mates are having without them. Cross into a PvP area and you get a few moments warning before you're a PvP character; leave the zone and within a few seconds of not being hit, you'll be out of PvP mode. An important repercussion of that system is that PvP conflict can "spill out" of PvP zones as someone leaves the zone, gets hit (resetting their PvP flag timer), and fires back at their pursuit (resetting their time). If you're an innocent outside the zone whose PvP flag isn't on at all, it's not a threat, but it means that truly epic battles can spill out anywhere in the world. PvP is defined as skirmish conflict, battlefields, scenarios, or the campaign itself. Rewards can include not just lewt, but your side taking enemy's capital city all for its own.
