Another key facet worth mentioning is the "wire-fu" combat. Battles are generally one on one. That seems to be the designers' intent; in many cases, you can start an encounter with an NPC without others only a few feet away joining in. The system starts with a rock, paper, scissors-type approach wherein each type of attack leaves you vulnerable to a particular form of counter. Adding to that, you can use special moves like Cheap Shot and Head Butt, unleash viral skills like Logic Barrage, or even create a simulacrum to fight at your side. Actions are cued, but only one at a time, so your role is quite active. Although you can simply choose an attack and let it repeat automatically, you'll do better if you can select the best riposte by watching and reacting to your opponent.
