360 Magazine: The first hour of the PC version is fairly impenetrable due to a lack of proper balancing and adequate tutorial. How are you addressing that for 360?
JM: The game will be completely rebalanced to address some of these issues. We have already made many improvements and will make more in the patches. But in regards to the 360 version specifically, we will reveal more of these details later in the year.
360 Magazine: The Witcher 2, for us, was easily the game Dragon Age 2 should have been. How do you think console gamers playing it for the first time will react to gathering alchemical ingredients, crafting, dialogue decisions with real consequences and other proper RPG features?
JM: To complete the game on the lowest levels of difficulty will not necessarily require alchemy or crafting, although it would definitely enhance the experience. On the higher levels of difficulty it will be imperative and also provide the best gaming experience. The non-linear story telling in the game, connected with the choices the player must make in dialogs, is core to the experience and would not change on 360. Such decisions create different narrative experiences for different players, and adds to the replay value of the game. We think console gamers are ready for greater depth of gameplay in these aspects and can experience it even without using the more advanced mechanics mentioned earlier.
