After completing the Azani Blackheart quest with Oreyn, you'll be sent to Azzan or Burz gro-Khash again for further work. When you get around to paying a visit to Azzan, he'll tell you that he needs you to help Elante of Alinor, a scholar interested in researching Daedra worship. You're to meet her in Brittlerock Cave and act as a bodyguard while she studies a Daedric shrine there.

Brittlerock Cave is located to the northeast of Anvil in County Kvatch. When you arrive, enter the cave through the recessed wooden door and speak with Elante just inside. It seems that she's looking forward to the investigation of the Daedric shrine - so much so that she's willing to put herself into harm's way. She asks you to "handle any... difficulties" and then begins her trek into the cave's depths.

It won't be long before you're doing battle with a few Daedra (the type of which depends on your level), though you'll find that Elante charges into battle instead of just letting you dispatch of the creatures. Luckily, she's able to heal herself, so you shouldn't have much of a problem with her dying. A few chests can be found scattered around the caves, so you'll want to plunder those as you make your way through.

After hitting a dead-end behind a wooden door, Elante will backtrack and take a different tunnel leading into a larger chamber. Finish off the creatures waiting for you here, then move into the room beyond to find more opposition and what Elante refers to as a "fine example" of a Daedric shrine. She tells you that she's going to stay here and study the shrine for awhile and no longer requires your aid. For your service in getting her here, she presents you with a book called 2920, Morning Star (v1), which immediately increases your Blade skill when read. Loot the two nearby chests, then make your way out of the cave and return to Azzan to report your success.

As expected, Azzan is pleased with your report and rewards you with 100 Gold for your service. If you haven't done the The Fugitives quest yet, Azzan will send you to Burz gro-Khash in Cheydinhal for that particular contract. If you've already taken care of Bravil's criminal problem, though, Azzan will instead promote you to the rank of Guardian and then send you to Modryn Oreyn in Chorrol. This triggers the Trolls of Forsaken Mine quest.
