Main Quest: Open Sesame: Breaking and Entering

Walkthrough
For this quest you'll need to recruit a burglar to help you steal Maximilian Borsodi's House from the Borsodi auction house. You'll have two choices for this:
- Eveline Gallo. You'll find Gallo in a circus camp talking to her companion Meryn (#1). When you try to recruit Gallo, she'll make you a deal. If you help her out in a performance, then she'll help you out in the heist. You'll have two options for what to do. You can just pay her 400 (if you make Meryn leave) or 600 (if you don't) crowns and skip the performance, or you can take on the role of "Hawkeye" Vann.
If you participate in the performance, then you'll need to try and shoot four apples with your crossbow while they're being balanced by Meryn. It won't make any difference how you do. To complete the performance, you'll either need to hit the four apples, or you'll need to hit Meryn. Missing the apples and Meryn both won't count against you.
After making the payment or completing the performance, you'll hire Gallo for the heist, and you'll earn 150 xp.
- Hugo Hoff. When you head over to Hoff's house in Oxenfurt (#2), you'll find the door locked, and nobody will answer when you knock. But then you'll notice some blood, and when you turn on your witcher senses to follow the trail, it will lead you to the riverbank (#3), where you'll encounter a trio of level 33 thugs. After dispatching them, you'll find
Hugo Hoff's Ear and a Soaked Letter on one of the corpses. The letter will indicate that the thugs were paid to kill Hoff.
To check on Hoff, you'll need to dive into the river and turn on your witcher senses again. You'll find Hoff a little way to the south (#4). He'll be dead, and you won't be able to do anything for him, so he won't be an option for the heist. Discovering this will earn you 150 xp.
