Q: The music in the original was very well received, as was the sound in general. Who is the composer this time, and what can we expect in this area? How much voice acting will there be?
A: Sound and music were a huge part of KOTOR, and they will continue to play a large part in the story telling in The Sith Lords. In terms of scope, it will be similar to the first game. However, with some of the optimizations that we've done, we may be able to add more sound where appropriate. One of the biggest changes with the music this time around is that a large portion of it will be performed by a full orchestra - approximately 60 minutes worth of new music. This will mostly be the in-game music and some of the specific character themes. Drawing on inspiration from the first game and all of the John Williams music, LucasArts' own Mark Griskey will be creating all of the new music for the game.
Every character in the game will have a voice, and every line of dialogue will be recorded. LucasArts is in charge of delivering all of those assets for the game, and we're currently in the studio recording the first large chunk of the script.
