Unconfirmed: Mass Effect 3 Multiplayer Announcement on October 25th, Online Pass Required

The sleuths over on the NeoGAF forums have rounded up some interesting info that seems to suggest that Mass Effect 3's rumored multiplayer component will be officially announced in Xbox World Magazine on Tuesday, October 25th. Additionally, they're pointing us over to the BioWare forums for a picture of a South African ME3 advertisement that lists an "Online Multiplayer Pass" that will be included in the game's collector's edition.

I don't see any reason to add a multiplayer component to what is historically a single player shooter/RPG franchise, but then again, I don't think I'm their target audience for such an addition.
