We aimed to make a game that would contain features from both the best fantasy strategy and RPG titles. Our team has fans of both genres, so it was difficult to find a perfect middle ground.
From the graphics point of view, we wanted to avoid the trite themes used in the typical artwork for humans, elves, orcs and dwarves, and to create really unique characters. We feel like we definitely managed to do this. Stranger definitely has a recognizable style of art all its own.
Another goal in the development of the title was to create a new and fully-designed fantasy world, one with its own unique reality and history, characters and monsters, heroes and villains. An additional consideration in producing such a huge and complete environment was that we could later use it in an MMOG, which would then be familiar to anyone who has played Stranger.
