Next week, Bethesda's multiplayer survival RPG Fallout 76 will be getting a smaller update aimed at fixing some bugs and expanding the in-game shop. And in the meantime, the game's PTS is up and running. And if that's not something you're interested in, you can participate in several weekend events instead. Here's more on that:
Welcome back! We apologize for last week’s. . . errors. Though, we hope that you managed to score some extra Scrip, Caps, and Holiday Gifts after MODUS caused our systems to go haywire. Now that everything is back in order, we’ve got details to share with you about a new update that’s headed to the game next Tuesday, as well as details on activities you can take part in this weekend. Read on to learn more.
NEW UPDATE COMING NEXT WEEK
While the “Test Your Metal” update is currently in the Public Test Server and on its way to the live game in June, we wanted to share a heads up that we’re planning to release another patch on Tuesday, April 12. This one will be a bit smaller some of our larger updates that bring new content to the game, as it is primarily aimed at fixing bugs and adding some new items to the Atomic Shop. We’re currently looking to bring the game offline for maintenance at 10:00 a.m. ET on Tuesday, and we will be sure to share updates with you in the Bethesda Studios Discord server once downtime begins.
HELP TO SHAPE NEW EVENTS IN THE PTS
If you own Fallout 76 on Steam or the Bethesda Launcher, and you haven’t had the chance to check out the “Test Your Metal” update in the Public Test Server (PTS) just yet, there’s still plenty of time to dive in. You can try out our three new Public Events, the Corpse Highlights setting, and more, and then post your thoughts for us to read in Discord. While the Test Server has only been live for a short time, we’ve been receiving tons of great feedback from our wonderful playtesters so far. This has already resulted in improvements to enemies, enemy waves and timings, and rewards for our new events, plenty of bug reports and fixes, as well as further adjustments to critical hit bonus changes that went live at the start of the PTS. We’re grateful for everyone who continues to share their thoughts with us as they take part in playtesting, but there’s always room for more! Of course, there’s also a “Test Your Metal” themed pennant up for grabs, which you can earn for your C.A.M.P. in the live game by participating in this round of playtesting. We hope you’ll join us in smacking some gulpers, beating down deadly raider robots, and ousting a horde of super mutants over the coming weeks.
THIS WEEKEND’S ACTIVITIES
There’s always plenty to add to your to-do list in Appalachia, and this weekend is no different. Over the next few days, we invite you to take a break from your normal routine to pick up discounted legendary items from Purveyor Murmrgh, stop by Minerva’s Big Sale, or even put your skills to the test in deadly Double Mutation Daily Ops. Each of these activities will kick off today at 12:00 p.m. ET, and will last until that same time on Monday, April 11.
25% OFF FROM PURVEYOR MURMRGH
Between a surprise visit from the Holiday Scorched and MODUS’s meddling with Legendary Exchange Machines last week, we hope you’ve managed to pocket a surplus of Legendary Scrip. If so, you can put it to good use this weekend, because Purveyor Murmrgh is hosting a sale on legendary items at her shop inside the Rusty Pick in the Ash Heap. Make sure pay The Purveyor a visit to snatch up some new legendary weapons and armors for your personal armory at 25% off her normal Scrip prices.
CHECK OUT MINERVA’S BIG SALE
Looking to complete a set of Secret Service Armor? Perhaps you’re after new mods for your gauss weapons, and don’t want to pay full price? Then you may want to seek out Minerva, the traveling merchant who is always willing to strike a deal as long as you’ve got Gold Bullion to spare. Minerva’s Big Sale begins today, and she’ll have many more item plans for trade than her usual visits to Appalachia. Minerva likes to set up shop at major settlements in the region, so make sure to keep an eye out for her just outside of The Crater, Foundation, or Fort Atlas this weekend.
DIVE INTO DOUBLE MUTATION DAILY OPS
If you’re looking to amp up the adrenaline during your adventures this weekend, then gather your team, prep your gear, and try your hand at a few Double Mutation Daily Ops. Over the next few days, you’ll square off against deadlier Daily Ops enemies who sport unique combinations of two different mutations. When you do, you’ll earn double XP during all of your playthroughs, as well as increased rewards, like bonus rolls for in-game currencies whenever you complete an Op.
Until next time, we’ll see you in Appalachia!
