With the upcoming Test Your Metal update now live on the Public Test Server for Fallout 76, we get this developer update that shares a quick overview of the ongoing playtesting efforts and highlights the latest installment of the Treasure Hunters event. Check it out:
In case you missed it, we recently kicked off a new round of playtesting in the Fallout 76 Public Test Server (PTS), so that you can try out new Public Events and share your feedback ahead of this summer’s “Test Your Metal” Update. Read on to learn how you can join playtesting and earn a new collectable pennant for your C.A.M.P. along the way. We’ve also included details on our latest Hunt for the Treasure Hunter event, which takes place this weekend.
DIVE INTO NEW PUBLIC EVENTS IN THE PTS
We reopened the Public Test Server last week to begin playtesting for our upcoming “Test Your Metal” Update, and this time, there are three all-new Public Events that you can sink your teeth into. Team up with the Gladiators of Steel to square off against deadly Rust Eagle robots during the “Test Your Metal” event, join in the Moonshine Jamboree to whip up a fresh batch of Mire Magic Moonshine by harvesting venom from a horde of vicious Gulpers, and fight back against an onslaught of frenzied Super Mutants during Eviction Notice to secure a new location that will help Foundation expand its turf.
CLAIM A NEW PENNANT
Of course, there’s a new Pennant reward up for grabs that all playtesters will be able to earn for their C.A.M.P.s in the live version of Fallout 76 by participating in this round of playtesting. All you need to do to earn yours is log into the Test Server while it is online and then join a world. While you’re there, we hope you’ll join us for a few Public Events and let us know what you think.
JOIN THE FUN AND SHARE YOUR THOUGHTS
All players who own Fallout 76 on PC through Steam or the Bethesda Launcher can install the Fallout 76 Public Test Server client right now. Don’t forget to read through our PTS Highlights post for more information about the new events, as well as other improvements you can try out. Once you’ve had the chance to do some playtesting, be sure to join our PTS channels in the official Bethesda Studios Discord server to share your feedback and bug reports with us.
TREASURE HUNTERS RETURN!
The Mole Miners are up to their usual antics once again! They’ve sent their slippery Treasure Hunter brethren up to the surface of the Wasteland to snatch anything and everything of value that they can get their hands on. Starting today, these Treasure Hunter Mole Miners will begin appearing in all regions of Appalachia, and we’re counting on you to stop them from sneaking away with untold riches.
Each Treasure Hunter you topple will drop a legendary item and a Mole Miner Pail, which you can open to reclaim some their scavenged loot for yourself. If you’re after even more loot, you can craft your own Mole Miner Pails by purchasing Empty Pails from your local train station vendor for a few Caps, and then filling them up at any Tinker’s Workbench. Treasure Hunter Mole Miners won’t stay above ground for long, so make sure to track down as many as you can before they haul their bounties back into the depths of the earth.
