Ex-Troika and Carbine Studios Tim Cain Joins Obsidian Entertainment

Former Interplay, Troika and Carbine Studios designer and programmer Timothy Cain, which most of you probably know for his seminal work on titles such as Fallout and Arcanum: Of Steamworks & Magick Obscura has joined the team at Obsidian Entertainment. The news was initially spotted by a user on the Obsidian Entertainment forums on his Facebook account and subsequently confirmed by his LinkedIn account, which lists him as a senior programmer for the developer located in Irvine, California.

Ironically enough, Obsidian recently wrapped up their work on Fallout: New Vegas, but that doesn't change that this is undoubtedly an excellent hire for them, so hopefully it will work out fine, possibly for a new IP.
