And some extra details:
WELCOME TO DREAD ISLAND!
The Franklin family was riding high after embarking on an ambitious flight around the world. That is, until a turbulent storm led to a crash landing over uncharted territory, referred to by locals only as “Dread Island.” The island’s ever-shifting environment is brimming with hidden treasures, ancient civilizations, and natural wonders waiting to be discovered, but it hides many dangers, as well. Cutthroat bandits, ferocious beasts, and the fury nature itself threaten even the sturdiest of adventurers who happen to wash up on Dread Island’s shores.
Now, the only known survivors of that hapless flight, Anna and Emilio Franklin, must put their faith in “H-4RT,” the family’s assaultron bodyguard, for protection. Will they manage to find a way off the island, or remain stranded forever? Find out and follow along as the Franklin children and H-4RT explore Dread Island by ranking up on the all-new “Heart of Steel: A Dread Island Tale” Scoreboard during your Season 9 journey.
WHAT’S NEW IN SEASON 9?
Fallout 76 Season 9 will begin with the arrival of the “Test Your Metal” Update on June 14. Once it does, you will be able to kick off your Season journey and start claiming a bounty of in-game rewards as you rank up on the “Heart of Steel: A Dread Island Tale” Scoreboard. Alongside the new suite of rank-up rewards, we’re also introducing several Scoreboard enhancements for Fallout 1st Members, and you can catch the details below.
FALLOUT 1ST SCOREBOARD ENHANCEMENTS
This Season, Fallout 1st Members will be able to rank up even more quickly and claim bonus rewards, as a result of new enhancements we are making to the Scoreboard.A FRESH SET OF SEASON REWARDS
- Unlock S.C.O.R.E. Boosts: In Season 9, Fallout 1st Members can rank up to claim up to three “S.C.O.R.E. Boosts,” which each increase the amount of S.C.O.R.E. you earn from your Daily and Weekly Challenges for the rest of the Season. Reach Ranks 15, 50, and 75 to unlock +5%, +10%, and +10% Boosts, respectively, for a total of +25% additional S.C.O.R.E.
- Please note: These Boosts count toward a Challenge’s base S.C.O.R.E. reward. They do not multiply with other bonus effects, such as Double S.C.O.R.E. Weekends.
- For example, if you’ve unlocked all three S.C.O.R.E. Boosts, and you then complete a Challenge for 100 S.C.O.R.E., you will earn a total of 125. If you complete that same Challenge during a Double S.C.O.R.E. Weekend, you would earn its base value of 100 S.C.O.R.E., plus 100 more due to the event, and 25 from your boosts, for a total of 225 S.C.O.R.E.
- Complete Bonus Challenges: We’re also adding ways to earn even more S.C.O.R.E. during a Season with new Bonus Challenges that can be completed by Fallout 1st members. These will appear as Daily or Weekly Challenges with a Fallout 1st icon on them, alongside the existing lineup in the Challenges menu.
- Claim Bonus Rewards: We’ve added many more bonus rewards for Fallout 1st Members this Season, and even reworked how they appear on the Scoreboard itself. Going forward, a rank that has a bonus reward for Members will display a golden ring around the rank icon. Hover over that rank to display both the standard and Fallout 1st rewards, side-by-side.
The “Heart of Steel: A Dread Island Tale” Scoreboard will include a host of rewards for you to claim as you rank up, including many that you may already be familiar with, like in-game currencies, consumables, Perk Card Packs, cosmetics, and outfits. You will also be able to step into all-new sets of Blackbird Elite and Mercenary Company Power Armors, equip new skins for weapons like the Shotgun, Super Sledge, and Bow, and don raider-themed sets of Armor. If you’re looking to redesign your C.A.M.P., we’ve got you covered! Try your hand at the Arm Wrestling Machine to temporarily buff up your Charisma, or rustle up some grub like a pioneer with the Chuck Wagon Cooking Station.
Here is a look at some of the rewards that will be waiting for you this Season.
