Infinity Blade's dungeons are intended to take just 5-8 minutes to complete. Each is hand-crafted with some light non-linearity in mind, rewarding players who leave the beaten path with either extra gold or perhaps a piece of armor. Like any dungeon crawler worth its salt, Infinity Blade: Dungeons features gobs of loot. Players will find gold, crafting materials, and armor to fill their character's seven slots (head necklace, shoulders, chest, gloves, pants, and boots). What players won't find in any dungeon is any kind of equippable weaponry
Instead, players must craft every weapon themselves, via a surprisingly fun touch-powered forging mini-game. The mini-game is more than just flavor the more accurately and quickly players hammer out a weapon's imperfections and polish its blemishes, the higher level it will be, allowing players to dump more points into its damage or critical-hit chance. I enjoyed the minigame it beats simply hitting a non-interactive (craft) button in a menu. But it will likely drive min-maxers crazy knowing they didn't get the most out of a weapon if they don't manage to craft it perfectly.
After forging a weapon players can put an elemental spin on it by equipping either fire or ice gems. The slotted gems determine which gesture-activated special abilities players have at their disposal, and can change-up the attack's specific properties.
