DLC Quest: An Antique Land

Did we miss anything in this section? Is there something we didn't discover? Let us know!

Background

You can trigger this quest by reading the mission parameters on the terminal inside the USS Ozymandias (#1). You can also trigger the quest by picking up one of the soil samples (#2).

Walkthrough

When you read the mission parameters, you’ll learn that before the war, the Bysshe Energy Partners sent scientists to the area to scout for natural gas deposits. You’ll now need to complete this mission on your own.

To complete the mission, you’ll need to collect three soil samples. You’ll find the samples inside of excavated muck holes (#2). These holes won’t appear on the world map, but if you make this quest your active one, then the interface will indicate where you should go. Inside of each hole, you’ll just need to pick up a soil sample -- a holotape that also contains an authorization code -- to complete the objective.

After collecting the samples, you’ll need to return to the Ozymandius and enter the authorization codes into the terminal. This will allow you to open the safe next to the terminal, where you’ll find some meds, some Bio-Gas Canisters, some Advanced Radiation Suits, and more. You’ll also gain 50 experience points.

Note: The quest is an ode to the English poet Percy Bysshe Shelley (1792-1822), who, among other things, wrote the sonnet “Ozymandias,” which contains the first line “I met a traveler from an antique land.”
