Additional Memory Question

according to information in the "About NWN" section the general size of an area would be around 10 Megs. so in theory if you had 64 players on a server (estimated limit for a DSL connection) and each was in a different area, you'd only need 640 Megs of RAM regardless of how large your world was.Is this a correct assumption?

To date the largest module I've seen so far is under 300k. With this said, we haven't attempted anything close to a final module in size. I'd guess between 1-5 mb for a larger module. [Editors note: this is space taken on hard drive, not RAM]

As a whole monsters are quite light in terms of memory demands as are items. The major memory costs are from the tile geometry and lighting info.

      Actually, a couple of clarifications:

      1. Areas with no players in them will still process scripts, but will have less AI time dedicated to them.

      2. Although monsters are light in memory use their AI is not. Pathfinding and other chores can slow things down.
