Will Vista Run Your Games?

Though Neverwinter Nights 2 is not a "Games for Windows" branded game, it behaves like one. It installs and auto-patches just fine under Vista, and not only does it show up in the Games Explorer, it even includes the game's required and recommended experience ratings. It fills out the Play and Community and Support menus at the top of the Games Explorer with all the relevant links, too: You can launch the editor, updater, jump to the Saved Games directory, view the readme, or go to the Atari home page or NWN2 forums. The game supports widescreen resolutions and works flawlessly in Vista. I don't know what's missing to get that GFW branding; maybe it has issues with 64-bit Vista, or maybe Atari just didn't have the time to submit it for certification. Maybe it tried for the GFW logo and the game itself was so buggy that the logo was denied. Certainly NWN2 is a lot smoother and more stable after several updates, and I have nothing but great things to say about how it works in Vista.
